     It has been a few months since Katniss, my older sister has returned from the Hunger Games. I really didn’t know what to expect. I certainly didn’t fexpect what came. Every night, I can barely sleep knowing that my sister, in the very next room, almost died. It doesn’t help either when I can hear Katniss screaming from the terrible memories. I lye awake, crying. Thinking. “She did all of this for ME.” ME. It’s my fault she has endure all this pain but when I run to tell my mother, she sighs and smiles. She holds me and says, “ Katniss did this out of her own will. There was no possible reason that you caused this. They picked your name but katniss loved you too much to even think of you stepping into that arena.”

I always wonder if Katniss is angry with me. Upset, annoyed,disgusted. I can’t tell why I think this. But this is my life. The life of Primrose Everdeen. I am 13 years old and now live in victors village with my sister Katniss Everdeen. I help my mother with her medical patients. I really want to become a nurse. Right now i am single but I will never feel alone around here we are not know for the girl who hunts,the sister who has a goat, or the wife of a dead mine worker. We are know as the family who has a daughter volunteer for her sister. You would think that hearing all of these things are good? You are known for something amazing,generous,and kind. WRONG! It reminds Katniss every day of what she witnessed in the arena. It reminds me that I scared my sister for life. It reminds my mother that her family is broken. But we have to deal with it everyday and it hurts us all .....

December 14,3067

        The other day we got a guest at the house that made my heart drop and made my lungs feel like rubber. President Snow marched in with guards. Katniss, as usual was hunting at this time of day. Snow was straight forward,“Where’s Katniss?” No good morning, hello, how do you do. Me and my mother were forced to lie. Citizens of our town are prohibited to cross the gate separating us from the woods. Of course, Katniss being Katniss always disobey the rules and leaves anyway. We had told him that she went on a walk with Gale. My mother looked like she was about to throw up. Snow could sense it but was not sure what was wrong. Snow decided to stay and wait for Katniss to arrive. He forced himself into my mothers study and asked for some tea and cookies. An hour passed and Katniss had arrived. Not knowing of what Was was in the room next to us she says “ Mom? Prim? I just came back from ....” before we cut her off. I told my sister “we have a guest” with the most fake smile ever. Katniss seemed confused. But as soon as the door of the study opened, Katniss looked like she was going to faint on the spot. “ President snow, good morning. What a surprise.” Katniss spoke with an uneasy voice. Snow replied with “ Yes, good morning. I have come all the way here to chat with you.” Katniss’s face went pale. She walked towards snow into that room. As soon as that door shut, it seemed that that door would never open again.

December,17,3067

        My heat is still pounding from our “Visitor”. Ever since that day, the whole house is dark,silent,and it feels hollow. Katniss had told us that president snow had told her that because of what happened in the arena, small groups of people in the districts took as a pre-planned sign of rebellion. He made it very clear that if people were no convinced of what happened in the arena was for Peeta, because she could not live without him, the will be a rebellion and it will all be on her. HOW CAN HE PUT THAT TYPE OF RESPONSIBILITY IN HER HANDS. ESPECIALLY SINCE HER AND PEETA DON'T EVEN DATE OR LOVE EACH OTHER. Ever since the games, since Katniss told peeta all the kissing was just to help them stay alive, they have barely shared eye contact. Katniss is supposed to convince the people of Panem that she and Peeta almost killed themselves out of love on the Victory Tour. The Victory Tour is a tradition in Panem. Every year, a few months after the games, the tribute, in this case, the tributes are sent to every district 12-the Capitol to pay respects,say thank you for watching the games,and thank you to anyone that sponsored them. I know that the next two weeks are going to be terrible. Katniss has to go to district 12 and pay respects to Rue’s family. A mother and three sisters.I know that Katniss is going to re-live everything the next 2 weeks vividly. And I know I will two.

January,7th,3067

          I HATE PRESIDENT SNOW! I HATE HATE HATE HATE HIM. Let me take you back to 30 minutes ago. Katniss has been home for three day and today was the day we find out the twist for the Quarter Quell. Every 25 years of the hunger games, there is a special twist on the arena and or how the tributes are picked. Last time we had a Quarter Quell, the tributes were multiplied so we had 48 tributes instead of 24. This year was Peeta’s first year on mentoring. We were in the middle of the ceremony and then it fell silent. These were president snows exact words, “ Welcome, welcome. Welcome to the begging of the 75th annual Hunger Games. Today is an honor for the cities of panem. For this is the beginning of the Quarter Quell.” Everyone started cheering. I cant stand the people on Panem!! “Silence. Please. Silence. Now this years Hunger Games twist.” Now you could hear Buttercup (my cat) in the other room breathing. “ This year, the 75th hunger games tributes will be picked from ................................ the pool of living victors in every district.” I was shocked! I felt like everything was in slow motion. I looked around. I couldn't even hear  anything. I wasn't even sure if the capitol was creaming or was shocked. I could see my mother sitting down looking as pale as an onion. I could see Katniss screaming,crying, running out the door. We could here Haymitch in the next house screaming and throwing things at the T.V. I sat there not knowing what to do, think,say................ All I know is Katniss is going to dye, alongside Peeta, and I am the reason why she is practically dead....... I can never forget this.

• Does the title fit the story? Why or why not?

Pages- 1-45

I do think that the title fits with the story  because one, The main character starts off as a birthmother but after a mess up with the first birth, she is suspended and sent to work with the fish. Secondly, the main character "Clair" is looking and trying to find information about the baby she gave birth to which was a boy.

Let me go more in depth. When we start off in the book, Clair is talking to other birthmother about the first birth. When the time finally comes, Clairs first birth encounter a mess up and is sent away. This matches the title because the only way to have a child is to give birth. Clair gives birth to a boy and does not want to leave hime. Her son is what she wants and that is why it matches the story.

Lastly, The story matches the title of Son because Clairs birth product is a boy. She knows it is a boy because when Clair is called down to the office and told that she is being stripped of birthmother, Clair asks, "What about my birth product?" The head elder of the birth mother announces that he is fine. Although she is not happy she said the gender, Clair knows that her child was her son.

     One reason why this book should be read is because of the history it gives you about Poe in the first couple pages. In the book, it reveals that his wife has died and he can see if someone has died in a certain room and can physically see it. This is the very beginning of the book, so this is a handful of information that won't reveal everything and make you annoyed that you know everything about hi life in one page. I was also pretty shocked by that and that is another reason that I think other should read this book.

       The second reason why I think that people should read POE is because of the suspense  In the third page, Poe and his brother are at a crime scene of a murder. Poe claims that the officers have looked over the man but not observed the man in a sense that the key detail like what he was wearing, or papers in pockets, or anything that can point out his residence,job,or any family. This is what draws you into this book. How Poe notices the tiniest of things make's you kind of smirk saying "Show off".

The last reason that you should read this book is because of the state Poe is in. In the book, it states that Poe is ill. Ill in the mind. He see's things that aren't true or have passed. People think that he is imagining but he is in a way see the past in a flashback. This may confuse a reader with a medical disease but Poe is special. These three reasons is why I think that every single personPOE
 in the world should read

The giver Week of 12/1/13

I cant believe this is happening. How can he do such a cruel thing? How can my father, who probably doesn't even love me , kill an innocent little baby because it looks just like his or her brother?! I don't know who he is anymore. The only person I can trust is The Giver. He tells me the truth. He knows the in's and out of this place. This place has to change! It has to! Me and the Giver have thought of a plan. I will change the society I will.

     They have never experienced true pain, suffrage,loss,love,hurt! They have never had to feel the need for food. That's because they don't know the truth. I will leave the community tomorrow  But I will not go see the Giver as planned. I will take my Fathers bike, and Gabriel, who my father claims will be released. I will leave. I can't stand it here anymore I can't!

It seems like the day is purposely dragging on. I passed by the recreation center to talk to Asher for the last tme ever and I passed byt the school house. I saw a little girl getting a "smack" today. This is exactly what we have to change. Smacking kids because they slur or stutter a word? Then I went to the house of the old. I requested to see Fiona. They did not hesitate. They let me into a room where Fiona was in the middle of speaking for one of the old who were getting released. She saw me, and then it happened. Her hair, iit had changed again. But when I saw her again it was gone. I asked her how her day was going an dshe said it was great!. She told me she got to see a release happen and it was amazing. How the caretakees were so kind. So mellow. I was disgusted. I almost blew up on her. I wanted to scream " How could you say that!!!!!!!! Iwe kill babies if they ahve problems or ook the same as his/her sibling? We kill the old if they get to old to do things for theselves It's SICK!!!!!" I left angry,upset, but mostly hert broken. I knew that I will never ever see Asher,Fiona,The Giver, or Lilly EVER AGAIN".

     In this picture I was showing the scene on p.g.150.  This is the scene where The Giver shows Jonas the release that Jonas's father committed earlier that day. As we all know, a release is when a baby is born with special needs or is a twin that is identical or if someone has grown too old to move around, when someone comes to this, the child or adult is taken a way and is given an injection which causes them a painless death.

     The reason I decided to draw this scene is because this is very important in the following chapters. When Jonas see's that his father is killing an innocent child, Jonas is outraged and disgusted with his father. This causes the Giver and Jonas come up with a plan to change the community. There plant is to have Jonas leave the community and the longer he is away, the more memories the people back at the community will be receiving the memories Janas once had.  Although this will cause people great agony and pain, it will give the people feelings of compassion,love, and happiness. All of this comes out of this one scene.

The Giver week of 11/17/13

This is a picture of the number 12. I drew this because in the book  "The Giver"  number 12 isa  very important number. Twelves years of age in the Giver represents adulthood. Also this is where they get there life long job. People before the age of twelve go throughout smaller ceremonies like ceremony of nine. This is where kids get there first bike. Or like the ceremony of 10. in the ceremony of 10, kids get all of their have cut off so kids can get used to being grown up and look like an adult.


Also this is the age of when kids start getting there"stirrings" also know as PUBERTY. yes puberty. This is very important because when the stirrings start, they give kids a special pill to make them go away from feeling,dreams,or thoughts. Kids are not of though of as kids when they reach age 12. They are officially an adult, but they still go to school? This is the way it is I guess.

If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's My Prince? Week of 11,11,13

    This Title "If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's My Prince?" fits the story in multiple ways. One is that the story is kind of like a modern day Cinderella. Since it revolves around this topic, the story matches the title because of the Prince,Stepmother, the pat of being a wicked mother.

     The fists way is the part that says "Wicked stepmother". Lucy, the main character, just moved in with her new step mother. She has to stepsisters the "Princesses". The princesses are constantly getting spoiled my their mother , just like in the original story of Cinderella. The Princesses have no chores but Lucy has all of them, just like Cinderella. When Lucy tries to get a bed. Just a BED for her "Room", Her WICKED stepmother finds it as an insult because at the time, she and lucy were arguing about how messy her room is but Lucy has no drawers to put clothes in and when they kind of off topic from the messiness and Lucy brings up the bed, like I said, she gets furious because she is a decorator. This relates to Cinderella because Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters take everything she says stupid and offensive.

     Another way this book is connected to the title is when it says "Pince?" This relates because after a whole 3 moths of living with her stepmother and being the outcast at school, Lucy scores the captain of the basketball team in which every girl drools over. This relates to the story of Cinderella because  the story, all Cinderella wants is love. Int eh title, it is inferring, where is MY prince? Cinderella meets her prince at the ball. Lucy meets hers at her princes first basketball game. So this story fits in with the story because throughout the story, Lucy deals with her WICKED stepmother and is look for her prince.
