The Children of Willesden Lane

prompt:Draw an interpretation of the passage – may be a picture, symbols, graphic
organizer.
pages read:3-9

There are two reasons why I drew this picture. It symbolizes my main characters, Lisa, passion to learn, play, and hear music. Also it symbolizes Lisa's passion for the piano it self.

The musical notes represents the passion for playings, hearing, and learning music. Throughout the whole first chapter, she talks about how she feel music is the best thing ever and she always looks forward to her piano classes. I know this by this quote, "She breathed in the aroma of the professer's pipe tobacco . The sights and scents had become a friendly greeting- a signal that the next hour, she could turn away from all else and be part of the music she loved."  The last sentence of this quote proves that she did indeed love music.

The second reason I drew this picture with a piano was because of the love she had to the piano and piano players. She adored them. I know this by this quote. "The professer's stately piano stood in the middle of the studio. It was richly polished with ornately carved legs." She loves the way piano looks. She describes every detail and pays a lot of attention to it.

  1. I can see why you made each thing symbolize that thing.
